I want anyone to add ideas about this topic. I live in Australia and I firmly believe that it should be the choice of the cyclist to choosed whether or not they wear a helmet. If they are hurt then that is their responsibilty. Their was even a study conducted by a traffic psychologist, Dr Walker, were he had heaps of equipment on his bike to measure how far from him cars were when he was overtaken. He wore a helmet half the time, and spent the other half without a helmet. On average, cars stayed a furthur 9cm away from him and his bike when he wasn\'t wearing a helmet. He was hit twice, both times when wearing a helmet, and what does this prove? That wearing a bicycle helmet puts you at more risk at being struck by a car, than when you are without a helmet. And there is also evidence that showed that the amount of cyclists on the road decreased after the compuslory helmet lawd were introduced in Australia. As well as this, when the law was introduced in Aussie states in 1991, it wasn\'t because there was extensive research proving that helmets would make cyclists safer, and decrease road injuries and fatalities. No, it was because the Federal Government in Canberra threatened the state governments. They said that if the states didn\'t introduce the law, then they would cut their road funding. Well, that is my opinion, or part of it at least. I don\'t yet know what side I will be on for the debate, but I hope it is afffirmative. Any replies with your opinions would be appreciated, no matter what your opinion is, no matter if it is or isn\'t mandatory where you live. Had a wonderful weekend in Paris, but it was spoiled. Every single day, we had to confront pickpockets. On arrival, upon boarding the train, at Anthony station, I saw my mobile phone flying in the air! Someone tried to steal it from my pocket, and another person, behind me saw everything and chased the offender away. I was approached by a teenager, showing me a ring- a Paris classic. I just shouted at him, go away, and he got frustrated!! This happened about four times in four days! Boarding a train, two men, one from the front and another one from the back of my wife started talking to her, trying to grab her bag. She shouted my name and they disappeared! Going out of Notre Dame, we stopped at a zebra crossing. A woman in a parked car started to ask me silly questions in broken English. A man behind me advised me to ignore her as she is trying to make you approach her car, so she can grab and drive!! A young woman, down under the Eiffel tower, showed me a list of persons who had signed and donated her money for the handicapped. It’s a scam ! This all happened between the 17th and 20th November. The police are nowhere to be seen! The only police I ‘ve seen were near Arc de Triomphe. My advice: If you are reading a map, carrying luggages, holding a camera, dressed up elegantly, and heard speaking anything but French, you are an easy prey!! Carry your belonging in a zipped pocket in front of your chest or a zipped, closed bag, hanging at the side, with your hands covering it at all times. I have travelled to many places, but this amount of crime in just four days, is just too much!!!! Statement more than debate. TSA is dropping the ball. As an employee in the airline industry, I can speak from expierence. TSA hires and fires screening personel at a hares pace. With the unemplyoment rate so high with veteran military personnel; why can\"t TSA focus on hiring only honorabally discharged military personnel. They have the expierence and knowledge of this field. These people have put their lives on the line for this country, and by golly we owe them at least a life free of unemployment. I will go one step further and state that only vets should be providing all public services. Such as cities and parks and special districts.» type a response

When the government imposes a minimum wage it is placing a tax on those goods and services provided by minimun wage individuals. The price of labor is not independant of the market. The cost of wages are included in what we buy. Since it is a regressive tax, it hurts the very people it purports to help. Not only are less minimum people hired by companies, but the prices that minimum wage people pay for their goods and services go up more than the increase in their salaries. A Big Mac costs more after minimum wages are included in the price. The answer is to let the market determine the price of labor... not a politician trying to get votes by using smoke and mirrors.» type a response

Philly Sucks! Philadelphia is the worst city in America without a doubt. They call themselves the \"City of Brotherly Love\", but we all know that is far from the truth. The people of Philly are rude and obnoxious. The sports teams are awful, with the exception of the Phillies. The Eagles, 76ers, and Flyers are all losing teams. American Airlines is the worst airline in America. Their aircraft are so old and aging and the employees have no morale or motivation. They are one of the lowest paying airlines in America and are near the bottom with U.S Airways and Delta Airlines. What happened to the glorious American Airlines of the past?» type a response
