I have lost a bit of my english, so please don\\\'t bother pointing out some grammar/spelling mistakes.

First of all a quick \\\'me\\\' background, I\\\'ve grown up with a completely catholic family and environment, my whole life I\\\'ve been taken to a catholic church and school.I eventually stopped believing...
Anyways, I think it\\\'s really easy to strip catholics and christians of what they \\\"believe\\\" in(how they title themselves as catholic or christian). I say this because I KNOW a good 90% have not read the bible which is what both religions primarily and heavily base their beliefs and belief system in, I can assure this because I have read the bible, a lot of it and I\\\'ve come to the conclusion that anyone who reads it extensively wouldn\\\'t be able to call themselves catholic or christian. We all know we cherry pick what we believe in the bible, and that\\\'s already enough on your(assuming you are a believer*) part for me to say you cannot say what you historically believe is correct, it\\\'s either you believe in everything in this book, or nothing at all. I think we could all agree on that. otherwise it would be cheating.
Now to be honest, the title doesn\\\'t really say what I want to debate about to much, but I actually want to discuss. For those who have read the bible, and not ignored the details I\\\'m sure agree with me when I say, no one makes this stuff up, something happened, there is also historical evidence apart from the bible that supports the fact that something happened. - The bible is full of very detailed stories of visitations, from beings of a higher power.
These are some of the responses I get immediately from having said what I said:
- You can\\\'t take everything literally in the bible.
- A lot of it is to be taken metaphorically/figuratively.
- It has been translated dozens of times. ( it is obvious why that\\\'s a problem) *Lost in translation.
Okay, first,The the stories are incredibly detailed, and I mean a lot, even down to the color and shape of things/sightings*. I cannot think of one thing that can be taken metaphoric or figurative in the bible.
Second, the idea that the stories may be lost in translation is just another reason why you can\\\'t say you believe in what you \\\"believe\\\" in. I\\\'ve looked up literal translations and the stories either change almost insignificantly in MEANING, but they do change what\\\'s going on and give it an incredibly interesting twist.....which is something I want to get to.
-\\\"Fallen ones\\\"/divine beings having sexual relations with human women.
-Offspring who were destined to be heroes.
-\\\"Messengers\\\"/angels with 6 wings, bronze/silver/gold shining \\\"armor\\\" with flaming eyes.
-Bronze flying objects with wheels and make a sound like the \\\"roar of the ocean\\\"
-Jesus\\\'s face changing appearance when he prayed.
-4 headed creatures who moved as fast as light.
- Flaming \\\"swords\\\" guarding TREES that give KNOWLEDGE of everything and ETERNAL life.
-talking serpents, demons, and witches
AND MUCH MUCH MORE.
these are all things that are either given little significance or are pitifully turned upside down to fit what a person\\\'s belief is.
-When reading the bible God has a physiology, for lack of a better word, to how he works. What I\\\'m saying is, he has limits, he is NOT divine.
-When reading the book of Genesis anyone who is not fooling themselves of kidding themselves by trying to make sense of what it says can see that there is something else going on. The story isn\\\'t as simple as it seems.
-Everyone has the idea that angels look like beautiful women/men with wings and that God wears a white robe, and blah blah etc.
I couldn\\\'t find any description of an angel looking like that, but I have heard of one, but descriptions contrary to that one out weight it incredibly.
On the First page of the Book of Ezekiel, on the verse of his first chapter he describes God...I was more than surprised when I read this, I have in the past gotten a million people saying they are not sure what he looks like, and here in this book, the very first thing he says is he saw God, and gives a detailed description, which is something that leaves believers speechless.
I\\\'m not going to get into more detail yet, I\\\'d like to see what some people think, of what I\\\'ve written so far and I\\\'ll gladly go into detail.
