Why is it morally wrong? What pain and heartache occur? Again why is it bad? It is acceptable. Clarify your point. Interracial marriage is acceptable because people have the basic right to mate with whomever they chose, when the government starts telling me who I can and can not marry will be a very sad day for democracy. Why is it wrong to have interracial relationships? Are we all not from one race which is the human race, it does not matter what the color of your skin is or what race you belong, if the creator did not want us to interact with each other then the whole world would be of one color. There seems to be one flaw in your logic Mr. greymatter, there really is not any 'native land' anymore, the world is interconnected and interdependent. Some continents like Australia and Africa have a predominant race like Caucasians in Aussieland and African-Americans in Africa, but in countries like the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Canada there is a wide-range of races that exist and live in those areas. Therefore I conclude that 'native land' for races anyway is a mere myth in the modern world. Another problem with your logic is you are comparing humans to the animal kingdom, while you are not far off in the similarities between us and animals you forget that humans beings possess one ability that animals do not, the ability to love someone unconditionally. You love someone for their character, their strengths, their weaknesses. This is not a question of logic this is a question of the human condition,and NO ONE and I mean NO ONE should be told who they can and cannot love.

The colour of your skin has nothing to do with anything! It's like you're saying "it's bad for someone with blue eyes to marry someone with green eyes". Interracial dating is perfectly normal. Just because people have dirrerent skin colours on the outside, we are all human on the inside. We all have the same common ancestor, and we all derive from the same race. I 100% disagree with you that interracial relationships are wrong especially that you think that it is morally wrong because of some antiquated viewpoint that "it causes so much pain and heartache for the family and children." I am in an interracial marriage my husband is white and we have a beautiful bi-racial daughter that is the love of our lives. To answer your question as to what causes some folks to marry outside of their race it's simple I feel in love with my husband and he feel in love with me and we were able to look past the color and love the person for themselves. You need to look around you there are multi-cultural children that are in the world and happen to be well adjusted. Thank GOD that the Supreme Court that people like you DO NOT have the right to dictate to anyone else who to love, marry, and have children with. Look around you since the1967 Supreme Court case Loving vs. Virginia U.S. Supreme Court knocked down a Virginia statute barring whites from marrying nonwhites. If you look around interracial marriages and relationships are becoming more and more common because there are less and less of people like you in this world.

I find so many errors in your premise that interracial relationships are wrong. In your justification you reference black/white relationship. However black/white are not actually races but physiological references to skin tone which can vary across many races. You declare the morality of interracial relationships as being wrong. However, you do not state how it is wrong or what ideological interpretation of morality you are using to make that assumption. The pain caused by interracial relationships is one caused by social ignorance and cultural opinions. It is no more painful that it is to be a Democract living in the Republican dominated south. Relationships are a biological need in an individuals attempt to achieve self-actualization according to Maslow. The only thing wrong with interracial relationships is its deviance from historical social norms by a minority of individuals. As any sociologist will state, social norms change very often. That is the reason why it was social acceptable for children to marry at age 12 in 1900 but it is totally social unacceptable now.

While interracial relationships may be only about love, they do have a considerable effect on one's ancestral customs, such as religious activities. They may make a slightly confusing environment for the child, however, all in all, choosing to be with anyone is a personal right. Interracial relationships can still foster normal development of children in all ways, as long as there is a good family.

I do understand your argument if we are looking at this from a religious/cultural standpoint, but the way you phrase this is based solely on race and it truly makes it seem as if you favor a biggoted, even segregated society. For example, in the Torah, it says that it is unacceptable for a Jew to marry someone of another religion because they may be corrupt by their partner to convert. HOWEVER, we must note that the Torah was written at a time when no other monotheistic religion with similar codes or morals existed. All in all, love is love, and everybody has to come from somewhere. It is not our fault whether we are black or white, and it is not our choice whether our best match, our "soulmate" if you will, is of the opposite race. Your argument is invalid, therefore, I strongly negate the resolution.

What's so wrong about it? there is absoblutly nothing wrong, no pain what so ever, people from different classes and countries of the same skin marry, the same deal happens with people with different skin and culture, get over your old fashioned traditions, no king lives now to judge you, you live in a world where people judge you if you don't agree with this standard freedom, go with it and accept this is society and this is not wrong.

i completely respect your opinion but i do not agree at all! who are we to tell others who they can and cannot love! how are two different races getting married morally wrong? last time i checked, this didnt hurt anyone. we are all human beings and we all have feeling and are the same. the vision of a perfect world is that we are all equal, do you understand the meaning of this? this means that we are all equal in the way we are treated and we all have equal rights. this does not mean we have to look the same. this is just like saying you have to marry someone who has the same hair color as you. is marrying someone with diferent hair color morally wrong too?

I beilive that it is fine to have cross marriages, we shouldnt tell ppl it is wrong to love someone because they aren't in our race. It makes you seem racist when your like that. Love is love no matter how it is. God created everyone equally.

OK ignorant, Both of my parents are consist of mixed heritage my mom black/creole my dad black/Asian. My entire life been raced to believe that race is but a color.
