Imperialism v. Isolationism
A lot of people today feel that the U.S. should stop playing big brother to the world and take a big step back in world affairs. Well I feel that although isolationism can work see American History (1776-1900) I think that having an active role in all world affairs is what the country needs and will need with the revolution of global communication and trade. Yet I'd still like to hear if anyone thinks Isolationism would be the best path for America to follow. AGREE is to side with Imperialism OR Big Brother. DISAGREE is to side with isolationism.

I think America is correct with going for an imperialist pursuit.

Your possible positions are statist...only presenting the extremes...get into everybody's business or no one's.
A good model to aspire to is Switzerland...don't invade folks or replace dictators with hand-selected ones (imperialism)...BUT allow your citizens to trade openly & freely with everyone (what you call isolationism?).

You can really only pose two extreme situations on a website that only allows an I agree or disagree option but I like your point. And isolationism I am referring to is America's position 1776-1900 where we did not fight any imperialistic wars with the Mex-USA war being the only execption.
