Google Plus will overtake Facebook
At first there was Friendster, the lone major social networking website that was ages before it's time. Then along came Facebook and MySpace, which drove Friendster out of the picture. After a long battle, Facebook won the war with numbers 10 times that of MySpace. Facebook felt comfortable in it's lofty position as the world's number one social networking website. But that is about to change...
In July of 2011, Google launched "Google Plus" and decided to take Facebook head on in the largest social networking battle ever seen. It should be interesting to see how this plays out. The world's largest internet company (Google) versus the world's largest social networking website (Facebook). I think that Google and their new Google Plus website will dominate.

I just signed up for Google Plus and really like it. I think it is light years different from Facebook and I am a big fan of the "Circles" feature.

I must say first that I am a fan of Google, no matter what product, and Google Plus will no doubt catch up to Facebook. The only thing that I see relevant is that Facebook attracts BIG name advertisers. My guess is that Google is going to use PLUS as a platform for Google Ads of some sort.
It will be a tough battle which both companies will fight for, but one thing is for sure, as long as either site isn't taken over by 13 year olds, they will both do better than Myspace did.

Now I am a user of Google+ and I really like it very much. Facebook is total waste of time while and you have to spent much more time but you don't need much time for Google+.
