Direct Popular vote should replace the electoral vote
With DPV we can see that it better represents the people which in turn increases voter turnout which is neccessary for the elected leader to govern efficiently. Plus it give minority parties (3rd Parties) More equality because the electoral system encourages a 2 party system, which squelches 3rd parties. With Direct Popular Vote we do not see these negative outcomes.

i think the goverment are all for themselfs and we need to take their powers away from them as they are not doing the jobs we are paying them to do

The electorial college was put there because we are a constitional republic not a democracy. If the electorial college was not in place the canidates would only need to visit very populated areas like New York, Chicago, Dallas, etc. and forget about less populated areas. Also we need to represent all people, that is why we have two Senators from every state reguardless of poplation.

Times have changed. We cannot keep putting our heads in the sand. We need to evolve our system so it's as fair as can be for the time we live in. It's way different now than 1787 when candidates had to travel and we are no longer an agrarian society. Most people get their info from internet/TV anyway. Shall we keep doing the same thing year 2211? Just like anything, we need to adapt or go under.

I agree, the government is in all for themselves. If DPV was around Bush wouldn't of became president and we wouldn't be in so much debt, and might of not had the Iraq war which amounted to nothing.
